Went to an AWESOME Baby Shower!!

Oh my gosh!!

My friend Traci had the best baby shower ever the other day!!

It was so nice!!

We had fellowship, food and even a devotional message.

It was probably one of the best showers I have ever been too.

I am so in love with my friend Christina's house where this shower was. 

It is lovely!!

Traci got so many outfits for her new little blessing!

She will be the best dressed little angel in the county!!

Love These Kids

 Here are some of the kids from Michael's high school homeschool group.

They got together to do something wonderful.

They put together a bunch of parachutes to attach to bibles.

They will be thrown out of small planes in countries where it controlled by the guerrillas.

 They worked well into the night making these.

It was so beautiful hearing them pray over them too.

I love when young people have a heart for helping others...

and they find a way to do it.

Grooming at Home

Roxy was looking pretty shabby.

She has here long winter coat on and the weather has been so hot.

She runs around in the backyard and just gets so yucky dirty right now too.

That being said, it was time for her to get cleaned up.

after a hand trim, bath and blow out

she looks like this.

She looks like a little lamb.

Did not want to shave her all the way down, with this crazy weather it just might be freezing next week and she would need that thick coat. So the little sheep look it was.

All that primping just tuckered the little girl out.

She slept the rest of the day!!

Must be nice!!

Dr Seuss Day

I know Dr Seuss day was last week but I wanted to share all the fun things that we did to celebrate the day.

I started out decorating the house with books.

I even made a little reading spot on the floor for us to hang out in while in our pj's all day!

Then I had a few projects for us to do. 

Here is the Wocket in our Pocket craft.

While I read the book, Becca and Belle made little Wockets to have as little reading buddies.

Here is how they turned out.

Then we read the story, Cat in the Hat and did a craft.

We made our own Cats with hats.

So cute!!

I also tried to have Dr Seuss inspired snacks for the kiddos.

To go with our Dr Seuss theme I came up with...

it was really good!!

Then we watched Horton Hears a Who and had...

and instead of Green Eggs and Ham we had...

Here is was Belle's response to our day.

 We had fun trying to balance 10 apples on our heads

 We watched the Lorax and made a Lorax head to put near our trees to protect them too.

Tons of coloring, rhyming worksheets, crafts and reading!!

I think it was a good day.

Blast From My Past~ Craft

Do you remember making colored pasta?

I do not mean for eating.

Old school colored pasta for creating projects and necklaces.

I remember making that stuff in church one year and adding it to my bag for babysitting munchkins. Now that Rebecca is starting to babysit (yes she is CPR certified already) I thought she might enjoy putting some in her bag to take with her too. 

This is the simplest recipe ever.

WHAT YOU NEED:

Rubbing alcohol 

uncooked pasta

food coloring drops

paper cups or something to put the noodles in.

Yup. That is it.

This is all you have to do to.

STEPS:

1. Fill paper cup with dry noodles.

2. Cover noodles with rubbing alcohol in paper cup. Yes, all the way to the top.

3. Put in 15+ drops of color of your choice from your food coloring drops.

4. Wait 8 hours, drain, then lay them out on some paper towels to dry. Personally I put them on paper towels but I had wax paper under that. I had them on my cookie pans and did not want to damage them. Not sure if it would have but I was playing it safe.

This project pretty much this takes a whole day to make.

Look at the colors though!

Perfect for tactile play and making crafts.

Dinner with friends!!

Don't you just love when you and your hubby can spend time with your friends and their husbands??

We do not get to do that enough!

Michael and I had the opportunity to go to  share a "friends-giving" this year.

It is not thanksgiving, it is friends-giving.

Same idea but with friends not family and on a Saturday!!

Only adults and it is lovely.

We had such a good time bonding with our friends that we really only see with the kiddos usually that we decided that we really need to connect with our friends on that same level a couple of times a year.

So we did our first one this year!!

WE HAD A BLESSED EVENING!!

We laughed, ate, sang, laughed some more, had some more food, laughed even harder...

It was great!!

Telling you the bonding is wonderful!!!

We are getting together again in 2 weeks but this time with the kiddos too!!

Think I will plan another one for Easter time!!

Future Architect??

 Belle just loves her blocks and legos.

She is always creating buildings and stables out of them.

It is pretty cool!!

 Belle was not feeling well the other day so I just let her have at it.

Those were some of her favorites!!

Small buildings because she did not feel up to making her big buildings she said.

Here is a cute little tiny one she made too!!

Maybe we will have a Marine too?

He looks like that might be his future...

They grow up so fast!!
