Vestry and Viddles

Our church tried something new this year.

It was called Vestry and Viddles.

Cute name huh?

We are lucky enough to have hundreds of vestments for our services

but usually we only use just a few on a regular basis.

They are just as beautiful.

The idea behind this evening, not only to raise more money for the church, but to educate us on the history behind some of the outfits. As the church ages we don't want to loose the stories.

Check out the beautiful detail on the vestment.
This believe it or not was almost thrown away at another church.
It was forgotten in a closet when the church was closed for demolition.
Yet miraculously saved and brought to our parish to be restored.

The outfits were amazing.
To see the detail up close.
Wow.

This was quite an evening.
But it was a great experience for the munchkins.
There was a 3 course meal served.
They had to use their manners and they did.

Aimee and her friend were servers.
They did a lovely job!
I was so proud of all of them.
