new island

Another project almost done!
This is where my washer and dryer have been for the last 9 years.
Now they have their own room so we are re purposing the area.

Someone who had lived there before us had a leak and never fixed the wood just through some cheap stick on tiles to cover the problem.
So it was time to get down and pull up all the yucky stuff.

Then hubby built this beautiful island and breakfast bar for me.
Isn't it pretty?
We are still waiting to pick the right counter top.
Have you seen the price of granite?
Ouch!!
Formica? Yeah that is what I have right now and it came with the house. It works. Well lets see what kinda deals we can find to finish this bad boy on up!!
