I was reading a small news story on the web this morning and I thought it was so cool. A man in Elk Grove Village, Ill. has a great idea of sending a little bit of fun to the soldiers over seas. He has arranged to have a whole ton of pizza sent to Iraq. They are buying them at discount, freezing them and sending them in dry ice. They called their idea "Pizza for Patriots"
He said that his 16 year old son came up with the idea. It looks like the two of them really ran with it. That is so great. This man has found a way to bond with his teenager, quite a difficult task, and help others at the same time. He is teaching his son such a wonderful lesson of doing good for others as well. Just to think about the enlisted men and women over in Iraq who will benefit from this as well. I am sure that they will be smiling to see that people still care enough about them to send a little extra comfort their way.They deserve it.
